2025 Year in Review - SOME of my favorite photos

So 2025 is in the rearview mirror and like past years I want to post my year in review. Set back and see some of my favorites.

Snowfall and small birds.

Early last year we had a harsh cold snap that lasted several days. The wife would spread bird seed around our front porch and the little ones needing food would come in.

Convergence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers near Ft Defiance Cario, IL

This is one of my few Drone shots included this year. A small group of us went to Cario, IL. Since I had a drone with me I decided to get different photos than everyone else. You can see the line where they mix right behind the barge.

Jumping Quail

Thirsty Morning

The 3 previous photos were all taken at the Santa Clara Ranch in TX. This was a wonderful place to go get outstanding photos of creatures we had not seen before. If you want to get a chance to get shots like this take a look and contact them. Great Location.

Family farm in central Illinois.

Took a trip to Central Illinois for a wedding weekend. Was headed to a small town festival to visit friends at their Coffee stand. Couldn’t pass up this shot.

Young barrel rider, very young.

Light on his feet

Last year I grabbed some shots at a local Rodeo. The 2 above are a couple of the best. This is always a fun shoot.

A night of Color

We had a couple nights of Northern Lights. Seems like everyone was getting pictures so here is mine. Lots of color.

Goldfinch coming in fast.

Humming bird

Clear Wing Moth also known as Humming Bird Moth

Every Year I will go to Rendleman Orchards to photograph Humming Birds, Butterflies, Goldfinches and other pollinators. They will plant a couple acers of Zinnias and other flowers and you will get a lot of beautiful chances for great photos.

6 Horse disk

Hot Iron

Rails

The last 3 images are just unique opportunity shots. Right place at right time. The main way to get shots like this is to always have your camera and be looking for that unique shot.

So this is was a small view of 2025 for me. I feel blessed to have had all these places and subjects available to me.

If you enjoy the images please Follow me on Facebook, and of course take a look around on this website.

Until next time.
