Santa Clara Ranch a Photography Destination

Yes I know I am a Slacker no blog posts in 6 months. Be that as it may let me correct that.

Santa Clara Ranch. If you love wildlife photography this is a location you want to go!!! Let me be clear I am not getting any consideration from them.

So lets get to why you should go.

The location is remote, and around 300 acres. It is pretty much inclusive, you stay in a ranch house, your meals are provided (delicious by the way) and you have a guide that takes you out to the blinds and sets them up for good photography.

All that is left for you is to keep your eyes open and get the shots, and you will get the shots, and more shots, and even MORE shots! They have morning and afternoon blinds that put the light right where you want it. The Raptor blinds are elevated so you are on the birds level when you are shooting. The same is true with the watering hole blinds, you are dug in so you are shooting right over the water getting eye level with the birds and in some cases getting great reflections.

We were lucky enough to have Hector D. Astorga as our guide a world renowned guide and photographer. Check out his info here https://www.hectorastorga.com/ (I might have to start saving up for one of his tours.) The one thing I can say is he knows the animals and their behaviors if you listen to his suggestions you will get some Iconic shots! Thanks Hector!!

The reason you go is to get photos you of things you have never seen, and this place delivers!!! For more images go HERE
