Looking for a New Perspective Through the Lens

I am a Southern Illinois native, raised on a small family farm by parents who lived through the Depression era. Those early years instilled in me a deep respect for the land and a quiet, resilient work ethic that has followed me throughout my life.

After a 24-year career in the U.S. Army, I transitioned back to civilian life, but I soon realized I needed something more than just another job. I needed a way to process my wartime experiences and express the beauty I still saw in the world. Photography became that outlet—a form of therapy that evolved into a true passion for creation.

Today, Redleg Photography LLC is my way of sharing the world as I see it. Whether I’m capturing the intricate details of wildlife, the sweeping majesty of landscapes, or the soaring perspectives of drone photography, I live for the moment someone sees a finished photo and truly connects with it.

Based in Carbondale, Illinois, I specialize in high-resolution digital imagery with a focus on:
